Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th, 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her father was a teacher while her mother was a housewife. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick started dancing and singing from a young age, and often performed show-like puppets in front of the kids in her community. After winning the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see what she thought about getting into the entertainment industry. Her first major role came in 1964 which was when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels new Baby Pattaburp doll. She subsequently starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for Wind It Up and It's Breaks by the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from among 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to be the youngest of three daughters towheaded on the brand new TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick disclosed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity to Barry Williams during the five-year period in the series. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice that in season five of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to actor Barry Williams. The two of us could have been in a couple, she added. But the timing wasn't the right time.
