Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She took a course in harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. She was able to survive on a student salary and part-time work to help supplement her income. Lennox believed that her abilities weren't as good as those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other routes she could choose. Lennox was initially musician within the band Dragons Playground. However, she left prior to her group being invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. The singer was the primary voice for The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to the year 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to record her debut solo album Diva. It was released in 1992. The album was an enormous critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album came out in November of 2014. The C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite blues, soul and jazz tunes. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. This is the companion album to her album Now I Let it go... art installation which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first independently-released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on December 25, 1954. Following a modest successes as a part of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s, Lennox and co-musician Dave Stewart went on to gain international recognition as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox began her solo career in 1992 with the release of Diva with many of her most popular songs like Why as well as the song Walking On Broken Glass. Medusa the studio album, which was released in 1995, has songs that are re-imagined from her biggest hits, such as the No MoreI Always Love Yous (and A Whiter Shade of Pale).
